What is Red Ribbon Week?
Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. Through conversation and education, the goal is for students to make a personal commitment to live drug free lives. At the elementary level, we also broaden the focus to include making healthy and safe choices, developing positive coping skills, and resisting peer pressure. These are skills that are taught throughout the school year through our Second Step curriculum and PBIS. During Red Ribbon Week, students will participate in an additional booster lesson during their morning circle time.

Take the #BeHappyBeBraveBeDrugFree Social Media Challenge
Show us how you’re living drug free by dressing up like your favorite superhero and by snapping a picture and posting it to Social Media. Don’t forget to print out and hold up the Red Ribbon Theme Sign Below. Challenge runs October 23 through 31st. Be sure to add the hashtags #BeHappyBeBraveBeDrugFree #RedRibbonWeek.
Celebrate Being Drug Free
Print out the Red Ribbon Theme sign (https://www.redribbon.org/virtual-activities), add your name, hold it up and post a photo that shows us you’re committed to living drug free. Use the hashtag #LivingDrugFree.
